COVID-19
The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. We are closely monitoring the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). This is a dynamic situation with available information and guidance changing on a daily basis.
We will be updating any changes on this page.
The issues and data findings surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic are very fluid and continually changing. As we work together to create our reopening plan, we want to assure you that we are addressing this and working closely with the Iowa County Health Department, Iowa County Emergency Management, as well as local and state officials to ensure that we are prepared to return to school safely. Our primary goal is to make sure the necessary provisions are in place so that our students, staff, and community as a whole are safeguarded.
We have established a joint task force to address the many concerns and we are committed to providing ongoing communications so that our families will have the time needed to plan accordingly. The Barneveld School District is currently working on three different models of a return to school including; Full In-Person learning (with a virtual option for families who are not ready or comfortable returning to school), A Hybrid Model the blends in-person and remote learning, and a Full Virtual Model. This will enable us to address any and all situations that may come up.
There are many factors being taken into consideration such as best practice related to social distancing, facilities utilization to maximize our capacity, transportation, internet accessibility, training, and professional development. Due to the nature of this virus, things are subject to change on a weekly, if not daily basis and we are committed to being successful in every situation. The survey information that the community is providing is incredibly valuable and we thank you for your participation - "Alone we can do so little; Together we can do so much." - Helen Keller
We thank you in advance for your understanding and continued support of the Barneveld School District.
Sincerely,
Joseph Price
Superintendent
