In preparation for the 2022-2023 school year, the Barneveld School District will hold a 4-year-old kindergarten screening in April 2022.
If your child will be 4 years of age before September 1, 2022, please contact Becky Hurlbert at the district office (608) 924-4711 to get on the list to receive notifications and information regarding 4K enrollment. Students who will be eligible to attend 5-year-old kindergarten in the fall of 2021 who did not attend 4-year-old kindergarten this year may also sign up for the screening. All students who reside within the district are eligible for this program. If you reside outside the district and are interested in open enrollment, please see the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction website for more details.

What is the schedule for the 4K students?
The Barneveld School District provides a four-year-old kindergarten program to all interested and eligible four-year-old students in the school district. This program has a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction certified teacher in each classroom. The four-year-old kindergarten Program provides families with support and resources as well as networking between parents, school, and community programs.
Children will attend half-day AM and PM sessions, four days per week, (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday). The 4K is located in the Early Learning Center in the lower level of the Barneveld Public Library.
