The Barneveld School District wishes all of our families and community members a very Happy Thanksgiving. We are giving thanks to the individuals, families, businesses, groups of friends, and organizations who have donated to some of our special projects this year. Your generosity to the Eagle's Nest project provides assistance for students and families with negative lunch accounts, registration/transportation fees, athletic/activity fees, as well as school supplies and other student needs. Donations to our classrooms and school district for specific projects are truly appreciated. You make a difference and we are grateful. Thank you and may all of our families and friends enjoy the holiday. https://barneveldschooldistrict.my.canva.site/projects.

Thanksgiving Break

Students in the FAB/LAB class have been busy creating a business called "Shop Shenanigans." Each student was required to come up with a product of their choice to present to the class that would be voted on as the best product to produce and sell. This year the rustic chicken wire picture frame was the winner! This is a great way to show off your pictures of you, family, and friends at home or work. Students each have their own role in the manufacturing of this product. A CEO, Marketing/Bookkeeping, Quality Control, laborers, and other various business roles. The company is 100% student-operated and managed! Please take a look and see what BHS shop students came up with. The link in the flyer will take you to the order form. Any questions can be sent to barneveldshopshenanigans@gmail.com or whodgson@barneveld.k12.wi.us.

What happened to the baseball field? Several years ago, the metal dumpster was established as a fundraiser for the baseball team. Over the past year, the school district has been working closely with the Booster Club to restructure the purpose of the funds generated from the dumpster. The original funds generated from the metal recycling dumpster were used to do the maintenance you have seen happening over the past couple of weeks. Thank you to the Booster Club and community metal donors for supporting this project. Starting the summer of 2022, all funds generated will be used to support all outdoor athletic facilities.

We are thankful for donations to celebrate Education Week! Special thanks to Mrs. Jerilyn Faltz, a dedicated substitute teacher for the Barneveld School District, who brought Quality Bakery doughnuts, hot chocolate, and apple cider for the staff on Wednesday! We are also thankful for donations from the families of our school board members, administration, and the Barneveld Schools Education Foundation for sponsoring the other four days. Taher did a terrific job catering each day for us. #GiveThanks #BeBarneveld

Congratulations, Melizha!

Thank you to Samantha Post, John Green, and Rebecca Derke for preparing snacks for our Education Week celebrations. We are proud of our partnership with Taher Inc and the great people who work at Barneveld School District! Join the team! Flexible hours and a great place to work!

Can you believe the 50th day of school was on Tuesday the 14th? The 1st graders decided a fun way to celebrate was to take it back to the 50's! They enjoyed learning all about what happened in the 50's by completing some fun activities. They dressed up like they were in the 50's, wrote how-to stories about root beer floats, and hula hooped! I wonder what the 100th day will bring....
