A huge shout-out to our amazing bus drivers and students! Another great example of the benefits of a 4K through 12 school. “I wanted to send a thank you to our bus driver. This afternoon there was a tractor unloading grain blocking the normal route so he had to drop off my girls farther than normal from the house. He sent an older student with them to make sure they safely made it to the yard, and also waited until I met them and waved to him. I really appreciate him looking out for the kids! Harvest is busy, and we need all the extra eyes on kids we can get!”

Middle School Students can read outside on a beautiful fall day.

The Barneveld Middle and High School Bands are excited to march in the Fair Week parade this Saturday! See you there!

We are excited to host game night for high school participation this evening. Here are a few reminders/notes.
*All spectators, this includes parents, community members, elementary and middle school students MUST remain on the hill for the duration of the evening, except for utilizing the concession stand and bathrooms.
*Flag Football and Volleyball start at 6:00 pm
*High School Class Competitions start at 7:00 pm
*Fireworks start after the games.
Parking - If you are parking in the school lot, please use the upper half only. Do not park below the middle set of light poles. This is due to debris from the fireworks.
ROAD CLOSURE – We will be closing down the school driveway from 7:00 pm and until 20 minutes after the conclusion of the fireworks. We have a new company launching the fireworks this year and due to many ground fireworks, they will be let off closer to the driveway. You will not be allowed to enter the school parking lot or leave the school parking lot during this time. Please plan ahead. This is for the safety of all those involved.

Ms. Lee's kindergarten class would like to send a big thank you to the PTO for our new classroom rug! We LOVE it!

The Public Library is looking for middle or high school kids or parents and grandparents that are able to help sell root beer floats and cotton candy on Fair Day to help raise funds for the Barneveld Public Library. Shifts are just 1 hour each between 10am and 2pm. We are also looking for people to walk in the Parade to distribute book (and candy!) bags to all the kids. https://trst.in/oY3pmu

Play cast and crew hard at work on Saturday getting ready for another one act play. We could use a few volunteer sewers who could help us with alterations and small piecework. Contact Mr. Draper at ddraper@barneveld.k12.wi.us or 608-924-4711x1434.

The 5th graders could join other 5th-grade classes from Iowa County this week to learn all about rural safety. They saw demonstrations on animal safety, from the emergency management, Iowa County Sheriff and K9, Tech Rescue, the Health Department, the DNR, Alliant Energy, and our very own Kyle Thompson. They could even watch Med Flight land and take a look inside. This is a great trip to help our youth stay safe.
