Quinn completed all his Barneveld High School graduation requirements, finished his welding program and certification through Southwest Technical College, and was offered an Apprenticeship all before graduating from high school. Late Post - Hello from SkillsUSA State Leadership Conference at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, WI. We are proud that we, Barneveld School District, have 30 members competing against other students from throughout Wisconsin. SkillsUSA Wisconsin has almost 2,000 attendees this year, so we should see some tough competition throughout 71 contests. There is much to see and experience here while competing at SkillsUSA State! We met new people, watched competitions that we never thought existed, and had fun spending time together as a chapter at the end of our competing season for the school year. With much anticipation of getting to the next level, Nationals, we have been busy the past few months fine-tuning our skills to hopefully punch a ticket to Atlanta, Georgia, in June of 2023. Many don’t know what Skills USA has to offer. Some may think that SkillsUSA is a bunch of students swinging hammers, cutting boards, welding me...

April 27th was National Teach Children to Save Day. Jenny Milchuck and Makenzie White from Peoples Community Bank joined our K-2 classrooms to talk about saving their money and read "Curious George Saves His Pennies."
