With all the illness going around at school and in our community, it's no surprise that we continue to see an increased percentage of students absent from school. We would like to thank you for your communication of symptoms and illness based absences, and encourage everyone to continue providing symptom information when calling the attendance line or emailing the school to report a sick student. This helps us gauge the amount and type of illness affecting staff and students at school.

Congratulations Coach Myers!! With tonight's win, Coach Myers becomes the All Time wins leader in Wisconsin High School girls basketball. 711 wins and counting!!!

Congratulations to our Term 2 High Honor Roll and Honor Roll students in middle and high school.

Congratulations Brock!

The Barneveld Elementary would like to thank The Vortex Leadership Team for donating funds toward the Book Fair in December. Due to your generosity, every student in grades 4K-5 was able to get a book from their wishlist. We are fortunate to have you as part of our community!

Please recognize two of our amazingly talented independent art students. For the past 2 years there has been a purple and yellow pendent on the wall of the lower gym. For the past couple of months Erin Lasse and Bevin Bradley have been making a previous vision a reality. They have used their art skills to finish the pendent portraying the opportunities our students can participate in. Please visit this wall the next time you are in the building.

Wake up it's gameday!

We celebrated our Student of the Month Luncheon for the month of December. We honored these students with pizza, sweets, juice boxes, and prizes. Teachers nominate students each month for their positive behavior and success in the classroom. Keep up the great work!

The 5th graders have been studying the Renaissance in language arts. They have been reading and making inferences about many of the important artists of the time. They studied how Michelangelo painted the Sistine Chapel. The students wanted to try out what it felt like to paint a ceiling. After lying on the floor and painting they realized how difficult it really was.
